Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The curricular unit comprises:
- Lectures, where students will learn techniques and methods of Research in Health.
- Practical classes, where students must demonstrate mastery of theoretical concepts in practical application of the design and practical implementation of a project in Nutritional Sciences and Food, through the process and analysis of data and ensuing discussion in the classroom. At the beginning of each class the purpose of the lesson will be presented and students will fulfill their practical implementation. Students will go through the different phases of a research project, either individually or in situations of group work.
The evaluation will be distributed throughout the course, according to the weekly tasks required of students and result of student participation in classes, rehearsals and harvesting and analyzing data arising from the practical implementation of the project.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
In lectures, students should learn the techniques and methods of Research in Health. In practical classes, students should demonstrate mastery of theoretical concepts in practical application of the design and practical implementation of a project in Nutritional Sciences and Food, through the process and analysis of data and ensuing discussion in the classroom. At the beginning of each class the purpose of the lesson will be presented and students will fulfill their practical implementation. Students should be able to go through the different phases of a research project, either individually or in situations of group work.
