Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
LO1. Recognize the scope of the concepts of health and quality of life
LO2. Demonstrate knowledge about the mental, physical and social health of children and adolescents with special needs.
LO3. Identify mental, physical and social health in different contexts of children and adolescents.
LO4. Recognize the protective factors for the mental, physical and social health of children and adolescents with special needs.
LO5. Identify the role of family, community, friends and school in the health of children and adolescents.

PC3. Mental, physical and social health of children and adolescents with special needs, in different contexts.

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
An integrated and progressive exploration of the UC program is made, allowing students to develop the knowledge and skills provided for in the objectives, thus ensuring consistency between the syllabus and objectives.

Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Active, collaborative and expository methodologies, with moments of research, reading and discussion of specific bibliography, as well as thematic debates and critical reflections.
Evaluation:
Normal season
The assessment will be continuous, based on the completion of a written test (70%), the execution of an individual theoretical and practical work with oral presentation and discussion of this work (20%) and participation in class (10%).
Special Season

Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The teaching methodologies adopted for this curricular unit are consistent with the defined objectives, as they allow students to gain knowledge and their active participation in classes through active and collaborative learning strategies, combined with expository and traditional methods. The teacher will be a facilitator of the student's learning process, fostering the relationship of concepts, the capacity for analysis and discussion and reflection for future professional practice.
