Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit: | |||
At the end of this curricular unit, students are supposed to: - know the strucutre and the activities developed under the scope of the Quality Portuguese System; - know the 7 Principles of Quality Management; - know the family of standard of the quality management and quality management management systems; - understand the concept of process and process management approach; - understand the application of the risk based thinking to quality management systems; - have a first contact with the structure and content of ISO 9001:2015 standard. | |||

The themes of the programme are structured according to a logic sequence in order to allow a progressive understanding of the students knowledge. The programme is structured in order to allow the students to acquire the necessary and required competence to understnad and acquire the knowledge essential to understanding the requirements of ISO 9001 which serves as a reference to the implementation of Quality Management Systems | |||
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation): | |||
Oral presentation, individual and work group, case studies. Evaluation system: continuous, one test and one work (test : 70%, work: 30 %) | |||
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes: | |||
The individual and group work will allow students to analyse ISO 9001 standard and interpret its requirements as well as their application to real life situations. | |||
