Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
At the end of the curricular unit the student must:
• Understand the fundamental principles of quality management and quality function deployement.
• Know the fundamental tools of quality and understand the methodology of problem solving;
• Use the structured problem-solving methodology and the statistical methods of quality control using specific software programs;
• Use statistical control tools to reduce process variability and improve capacity.
• Use quality function deployement at service conception
Syllabus:
1.Quality Management.
2. Quality in the conception
3. Quality Tools;
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Point 1 of the content programmarian it introduces the terms and definitions. Point 2 introduces quality function deployement requisite. Point 3 introduces the classic tools quality. The contents adjust it the objectives of the curricular unit, understanding knowledge in the area of quality management.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
An expository, descriptive and demonstrative methodology is used, resorting to case solving and oriented study, in order to introduce knowledge and facilitate the understanding of Quality Management
Given the discipline didactic specificity, the evaluation will consist of different moments that form three components.
1 Component A (50%)
Theoretical practical assessment (35%)
Group work (5%)
Portfolio of work done in class (5%)
Continuous evaluation (5%)
2 Component B (25%)
Theoretical test related to the various technical themes of the program - chapter 3.
3. Component C(25%)Theoretical test related to the various technical themes of the program - chapter 2.
The final score will be 50% of the arithmetic mean of component A with B and 50% of component C.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The proposed methodologies are consistent with the learning objectives of the unit, in a way that they establish a close and continuous coordination between theoretical concepts, practical examples . This approach enables the interpretation and practical application of concepts and methods in Quality Management.
