Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
In order to understand the concepts of people, identity, community, work and productive aging, and to understand the new trends associated with aging and productive aging, point I is associated with definitions of paradigms on active, healthy, productive and successful aging. Point III with identity negotiation in aging, community and work and the genesis, philosophy and objectives of productive aging. Analyzing and discussing the changes that have taken place in society as regards old age and aging, we have step II with economy and demography in postmodern societies and review of corporate organization models.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The methodology used is based on the teaching-learning paradigm with the participative method in the classroom with exposition by the teacher of basic concepts and discussion and group analysis of themes included in the program. The assessment is distributed by individual assessment corresponding to 60% of the total assessment (individual and classroom knowledge test) and 10% in group work with presentation and debate in the classroom with the presence of teacher and students; 10% in group work (3 elements) and 20% in individual oral presentation of group work The topics to work in group are registered by the teacher in agreement with the programmatic content of this curricular unit. Individual and group assessment dates are agreed at the beginning of the semester.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The expository method allows students to be integrated in the understanding of conceptions of person, identity, community, work and productive aging. The method of group work with teacher supervision allows students to analyze and discuss the changes that have taken place in society regarding old age and aging and to understand the new trends associated with aging, namely productive aging.
