Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
Discuss the principles of quality management in Occupational Health (SO); Develop skills in the analysis and strategic planning of quality in (SO); Participate in the definition of indicators and goals for improving quality at the organizational level. Ensure the implementation, organization and maintenance of the documentation inherent to quality management in (SO); Collaborate in carrying out Occupational Safety and Hygiene audits.
Syllabus:
Introduction to quality management; The Occupational Safety, Hygiene and Health quality management system; Indicators of the company's performance: productivity, competitiveness, quality, production costs, accident frequency and incidence rate and improvement measures; Audits.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The syllabus contents of this curricular unit reflect an approach situated within the scope of quality management in Occupational Health. They are based on the development of different themes in an integrated manner, with an emphasis on the management of OSH qualities, performance indicators and audits, contributing to the continuous improvement of quality in occupational health. It is noted that the syllabus contents are in accordance with the objectives of the curricular unit, allowing the Labor Nurse to develop differentiated and integrated knowledge, respecting the ethical, legal and deontological values and principles in guaranteeing a social commitment to health, safety and worker well-being, taking into account working conditions, the quality and safety of the workplace.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Use of expository, demonstrative and participatory methodology, valuing the student's involvement in the teaching / learning process. Students will develop a group work, based on a topic to be designated, related to quality management. The continuous evaluation will consist of the elaboration, presentation and discussion of a Group work, with a weighting of 100%, The attendance is mandatory to the UCs of theoretical teaching, theoretical and practical in at least 50% of the workload and 80% of the Laboratory Practice, to have access to continuous assessment, according to the UFP Regulation. Exam: students who do not obtain approval in continuous assessment, can take the exam consisting of 1 written test, with a weighting of 100%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Teaching methodologies are guided in coherence and articulation with the defined learning objectives. Taken together, they constitute an essentially interactive strategy centered on the student, with a focus on work that encourages reflection and values processes of a cognitive and interpersonal nature, properly oriented and framed in the theoretical, theoretical / practical and laboratory practices of the curricular unit. With the implementation of the methodologies considered, it is assumed that the student is actively involved in its evolution and outlines efforts in the search for updated information, which supports the work to be carried out and fosters the intended learning results.
