Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
• Acquire skills in the field of Occupational Health and Safety Services (SSST) management;
• Know the organization, activities and responsibilities inherent to SSST and the functions of the elements that make up the multidisciplinary team;
• Conjecture the promotion of OSH relating to costs resulting from occupational accident / illness;
• Plan and implement OSH management programs.

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The syllabus contents of this curricular unit reflect an approach situated within the scope of the management and organization of Occupational Health Services. It is based on the development of different themes in an integrated manner, with an emphasis on the planning and organization of Occupational Health Services and Risk and Communication Management Systems, contributing to the promotion of workers' health and healthy and safe work environments.
It is noted that the syllabus contents are in accordance with the objectives of the curricular unit, allowing the Labor Nurse to develop differentiated and integrated knowledge, respecting the ethical, legal and deontological values and principles in guaranteeing a social commitment to health, safety and worker well-being, taking into account working conditions, the quality and safety of the workplace.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Use of expository, demonstrative and participatory methodology, valuing the student's involvement in the teaching / learning process.
Students will prepare a case study in a company, phased by different UCs, which make up the Study Plan, based on the stages of Risk Management. The continuous evaluation will consist of the elaboration, presentation and discussion of a Group work, with a weighting of 100%, showing the characterization and organization of an Occupational Health Service.
The attendance is mandatory to the UCs of theoretical teaching, theoretical and practical in at least 50% of the workload and 80% of the Laboratory Practice, to have access to continuous assessment, according to the UFP Regulation.
Exam: students who do not obtain approval in continuous assessment, can take the exam consisting of 1 written test, with a weighting of 100%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Teaching methodologies are guided in coherence and articulation with the defined learning objectives. Taken together, they constitute an essentially interactive strategy centered on the student, with a focus on work that encourages reflection and values processes of a cognitive and interpersonal nature, properly oriented and framed in the theoretical, theoretical / practical and laboratory practices of the curricular unit. With the implementation of the methodologies considered, it is assumed that the student is actively involved in its evolution and outlines efforts in the search for updated information, which supports the work to be carried out and fosters the intended learning results.
