Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
•Debate the fundamentals of Occupational Nursing and its legal framework;
•Contextualize work accidents (TA) and occupational disease (PD), risk factors, cause and consequences;
• Designing informative, educational and training programs for Occupational Safety and Hygiene
•Identify the main risk factors associated with the work environment and define strategies to promote healthy and safe work environments;
Skills:
•Know and apply legislation, policies and management procedures in Occupational Nursing;

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The syllabus contents of this UC reflect an approach situated within the scope of the development of skills for the exercise of nursing practice at work. They are based on the development of different integrated themes, with an emphasis on surveillance of workers 'health, diagnosis, planning and execution of interventions to promote workers' health, as well as healthy and safe work environments.
It is noted that the syllabus contents are in accordance with the objectives of the curricular unit, allowing the Labor Nurse to apply advanced and differentiated skills for the practice, respecting the ethical, legal and deontological values and principles in guaranteeing a social commitment to the health, safety and well-being of the worker, taking into account the working conditions, quality, safety of the workplace.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Use of expository, demonstrative and participatory methodology, valuing the student's involvement in the teaching / learning process. Students will prepare a case study in a company, phased by different UCs, which make up the Study Plan, based on the stages of Risk Management. The continuous evaluation will be constituted by the elaboration, presentation and discussion of a Group work, with a weighting of 100%, showing the Methodology of evaluation of professional risks, with emphasis on the promotion of health and salutogenic environments.
The attendance is mandatory to the UCs of theoretical teaching, theoretical and practical in at least 50% of the workload and 80% of the Laboratory Practice, to have access to continuous assessment, according to the UFP Regulation.
Exam: students who do not obtain approval in continuous assessment, can take the exam consisting of 1 written test, with a weighting of 100%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Teaching methodologies are guided in coherence and articulation with the defined learning objectives. Taken together, they constitute an essentially interactive strategy centered on the student, with a focus on work that encourages reflection and values processes of a cognitive and interpersonal nature, properly oriented and framed in the theoretical, theoretical / practical and laboratory practices of the curricular unit. With the implementation of the methodologies considered, it is assumed that the student is actively involved in its evolution and outlines efforts in the search for updated information, which supports the work to be carried out and fosters the intended learning results.
