Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
To know concepts of study of ergonomics;
To frame ergonomics in the work context;
To develop knowledge related to methodologies to obtain anthropometric parameters;
Describe risks to people and work of ergonomic maladjustment of instruments, utensils, equipment, environment, workplaces and places;
Assess risks of ergonomic maladaptation of the environment, place or job and propose ways to eliminate or minimize;
Identify existing relationships between working conditions and effects on workers.
Skills:
Integrates principles and domains of ergonomics in the work and scientific foundation;
Master methodologies of measurement of anthropometric parameters;
Generates responses of individual adaptability in the workstations using ergonomic methodology;
Perform job evaluation to implement ergonomic strategies;
Minimizes harmful effects of work through the adequacy of work resources and methodologies.
Syllabus:
Introduction to ergonomics; Scientific basis; Fields of ergonomics;
Design of the workspace;
Anthropometry in ergonomics;
Postures and movement of loads; work-related injuries;
Work with display equipments;
Work and Fatigue Rhythms;
Environmental factors;
Organization of Work;
Ergonomic diagnostic methodologies: Ergonomic work analysis;
Labor gymnastics.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
It is intended that the contents developed throughout the CU, train students with theoretical-practical knowledge in Ergonomics. This CU will contribute to the acquisition of knowledge inherent to good postural practices, work environment and measures to be taken to make this happen.
Thus, the contents are in harmony with the objectives previously formulated, allowing students to adopt behaviors and attitudes directed to prevention.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The curricular unit will be developed based on bibliographic research, analysis, discussion and joint critical reflection on the topics addressed, elaboration and discussion of group work, according to the programmatic contents.
The students will make groups of no more than three elements, to prepare a study of a real job, of a company / institution, based on the existing standard.
In this CU, the students will elaborate a stage of the study, that contextualize the framework of the ergonomics in the work, aiming at the prevention of professional risks. Continuous evaluation will consist of preparation of a Group work, presentation and discussion, with a 100% weighting.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
In order to meet the stated objectives, the methodologies to be used in this unit will focus on interactive methodologies, involving students in the teaching-learning process, focusing on the reflection and analysis of diagnostic cases, aiming at the promotion of OSH and the fulfillment of the legal obligations in order to prevent the occurrence of occupational accidents and the emergence of occupational diseases through the implementation of a set of basic measures.
