Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The course unit presents a fundamentally practical learning component through the insertion of the student in a work context, which makes it possible to apply the knowledge and skills obtained during the degree in professional practice.
The tutored contact with at least one of the nutritionists' areas of activity ensures that the student is able to perform functions and activities in accordance with the statute of duties and obligations that governs the functioning of the entity where the internship takes place.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
- Analysis and problem solving under supervision in the area(s) of action planned for the future nutritionist.
- Accompaniment and monitoring of the situation over time.
- Updated information search.
- Evaluation is continuous e takes into account student' attendance, performance and internship report. Evaluation also includes presentation and discussion of this report, done in a public proof.
The evaluation of this curricular unit is made according to the Rules of Undergraduate Courses and Integrated Masters of UFP, after the presentation and discussion of the report and the attributed grade is calculated as the weighted average:
[internship * 50% + report * 30% + presentation and discussion * 20%].
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The Internship will be guided by an employee qualified to do so at the host entity. The internship follows an activity plan established at the beginning that the student must develop in the host entity. The person responsible for the supervision of the internship monitors the student's progress and the fulfillment, within the established deadlines, and with the necessary quality, of the foreseen tasks. The insertion of the student in a work context allows him to have contact with the professional reality in order to apply the knowledge acquired during the degree. The professional context and monitoring by professionals of recognized competence allow the student to acquire knowledge and skills that complement those acquired in the academic context. In this way, the curricular internship represents not only a space for practical application, but also an important way of learning through observation, sharing, adapting to new circumstances, and working in a multidisciplinary environment.
