Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
Developing knowledge inherent in the practice of medical nursing To know the most common nursing phenomena in the Medical area Plan, execute and evaluate the nursing care to the patient with pathology of the medical forum and specialties Demonstrate knowledge of the nursing interventions to users of the Medical forum Develop critical and thoughtful thinking Act according to the code of ethics Skills: It operates according to the fundamentals of care delivery and management (20 - 30) Contributes to health promotion and disease prevention initiatives (34-41) Demonstrates knowledge of the methodology of the Nursing Process, (44 to 52) Identifies communication strategies and effective interpersonal relationships with the user / family (61, 62) Identifies strategies to promote a safe environment (68 - 71) Contributes to the development of medical nursing practice; (83, 85) It bases the practice according to the ethical, deontological and legal framework (5-15)

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
It is intended that the contents selected, are in harmony with the objectives previously formulated, allowing to enable the students with the technical-scientific knowledge in the area of Medical Nursing. The contents are enough to ensure that all guiding principles of the profession and clinical practice in Nursing are covered. The proposed topics aim at the continuous development of students, and all contents are fundamental to acquire the necessary knowledge to develop skills of observation, communication, research, teamwork, critical analysis and decision making, face to theoretical / practical contexts in the field of Medical Nursing.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Expository, participative, demonstrative, active, with support of audiovisual media and joint reflection of the themes; Practical Demonstration Classes; Elaboration of individual and group work, clinical cases, with presentation and discussion, demonstrating, in writing and orally, evidence of clinical reasoning. Workshop on the person with musculoskeletal changes and tegumentary changes. Attendance is compulsory for theoretical curricular units, practical theoretical in at least 50% of the hours of the Curricular Unit and 80% of the Laboratory Practice, in order to have access to continuous evaluation, according to the UFP Regulation. The continuous evaluation is composed of two components: 2 Theoretical frequencies (35% + 35%) and the preparation, presentation and discussion of written assignments (30%) Examination: Students who do not obtain approval in continuous assessment, can take the exam consisting of 1 written frequency, weighting 100%
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The use of the methodology of expositive, demonstrative, participative and active teaching, using theoretical frequencies and elaboration of group work, where it demonstrates, in writing and orally, evidence of clinical reasoning. This evaluation methodology contributes to the student's training, generating new ideas and thus, validate the development and construction of specific knowledge of the professional nursing practice.
