Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
This course is intended that students understand the ethical dimension of the nursing profession and to take a personal stance grounded in ethical principles, not only face the problem situations, such as the professional relationship with clients as well as colleagues and other professionals health.
• Demonstrates Knowing the fundamental aspects of Ethics, Professional Ethics and Bioethics;
• Demonstrates be able to reflect in accordance with the ethical principles respecting the worth and human dignity;
• Demonstrates be able to analyze personal and professional behaviors in a framework of ethical and professional conduct and legal reference of the nursing profession, based on respect for the values and cultures of users, family and community.
• Ability to base ethical decision making in regulatory standards of professional nursing practice
• Know the Code of Ethics;
• Demonstrates ability to analyze bioethical issues throughout the life cycle;

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Develop ethical action, in a pluralistic society, presupposes knowledge of the concepts: ethics, ethics, principles of medical ethics and bioethics bases conceptual and historical perspective of Bioethics;
Understand the ethical dimension of health and disease and its relationship with the medical profession, assumes the knowledge of explanatory models in bioethics and bioethical issues in health care and its framing by Deontology, so that prudence, critical reflection, awareness of citizenship and human responsibility are met.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Assessment is continuous and includes the active participation of students in the different activities proposed, whether individual or group, a weighting: Individual written test (80%), individual work / group with presentation in class (reflections and analysis, dilemmatic a case related to issues concerning the theoretical and practical content covered, and their discussion with the teacher in the classroom (20%).
The result of the assessment will lead to a rating on a scale of zero to twenty values and the student is considered approved with the classification less than 10 (ten).
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Develop ethical action and skill acquisition involves analysis, reflection and discussion of texts and bibliography, by students, with the assistance / guidance of teaching, so it requires an active and committed participation of students, including the use of reading and analysis of individual articles and case studies.
