Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
( i ) Promote the acquisition of knowledge concetuais cadres in the field of Educational Psychology ;
( ii ) acquire fundamental knowledge in the field of Educational Psychology ;
( iii ) Apply basic knowledge of the field of educational psychology in the analysis of situations in the educational field ;
( iv ) understand the processes and strategies of learning and motivation and how to apply them in different contexts
( v ) Developing reflective skills on psychological phenomena and their implications for change in the educational context in light of the contributions of Educational Psychology ..
(vi ) develop skills in oral and written communication ;
( vii ) Develop a critical attitude and self-criticism and adopt ethical and moral values.

1 st Unit: The Psychology of Education

2 nd Unit: Learning and Motivation

2.2. Pedagogical implications of the theories

2.4. Learning strategies
2.5. Training programs of motivation
3 th Unit: The specific educational needs

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Unit 1 - The syllabus emphasize the theoretical issues that serve as an introduction to the study of Psychology of Education , thus enabling to achieve the objectives of the course, more specifically : to integrate knowledge, skills and abilities on the definition , object and epistemological status so how to know the main techniques and methodologies used in research in this area ; and the differentiation between the school psychologist and education .
Unit 2,3 and 4 : for achieving the goals is privileged to approach specific theoretical subjects , allowing to integrate knowledge, skills and abilities to learn the theories , the pedagogical implications of these , the practical application in different contexts of different strategies and to develop reflective skills on psychological phenomena and implications for change in the educational context in light of the contributions of educational Psychology .
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Teaching methodology will include theoretical lecturing, research, reading and discussion of specific references, as well as thematic debating and critical reflection. Assessment will be continuous and based on a written test (60%), a practical essay (10%), an oral presentation and work discussion (20%), as well as the execution of theoretical and practical tasks in the classroom, and students’ punctuality and attendance (10%).
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Unit 1- The syllabus of Units Letiva will target using descriptive and expository organizational exposure , active and participatory methods (favoring the latter ) to allow situate know and Educational Psychology in the context of Psychology and Educational Sciences , considering its object and its epistemological status , as well as promote the identification of areas and methods of research in this area . Unit 2 - The contents of Letiva Unit will target organizational exposure using descriptive and expository , active and participatory methods (favoring the latter ) to allow contribute to a greater understanding of the dynamics of the processes of learning and motivation in diverse educational settings and develop a critical attitude and self-criticism and to adopt ethical and moral values ??. Unit 3 : The syllabus of Letiva Unit will target organizational exposure using descriptive and expository , active and participatory methods (favoring the latter ) to allow contribute to a greater understanding of the specific educational needs and inclusive settings and contribute to building thereof; also aims to develop skills in oral and written communication and develop a critical attitude and self adptar well as ethical and moral values ??. Visualization and analysis deemed relevant documentaries . Unit 4 : The syllabus of the Units will be subject to Letiva organizational exposure using descriptive and expository , active and participatory methods (favoring the latter ) in order to contribute to the analysis and interpretation of different cases and situations in the light of the contributions of Psychology education; improve skills in oral and written communication and develop a critical attitude and self-criticism and to adopt ethical and moral values ??. In furtherance of the objectives are still made ??study visits , contact the Educational Psychologists and case studies .
