Syllabus:
Syllabus defined in an individual internship plan, according to the institution where the student does the internship and the UFP advisor.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The main objective of the Internship is to prepare the student for the Professional Internship of the Portuguese Psychologists Professional Association and for future independent professional practice as a Psychologist, developing and deepening knowledge and skills of psychological research and assessment and intervention in a specific context of Applied Psychology (suitable for the area of specialization).
Specifically, this curricular unit contemplates a curricular internship under supervision, in a host institution, aiming at the development of practical skills fundamental to the future professional activity.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Regular supervision sessions will be held to supervise the practice, research, reading, and discussion of specific bibliography and case studies, as well as to stimulate critical and self-critical reflection. The evaluation will be continuous, based on:
I. Evaluation of practical skills by the field supervisor (Degree of autonomy in the development of practical skills; Technical-scientific foundation of interventions; Posture and ethical and deontological behaviour; Ability to manage unforeseen situations; Organization and time management; Posture, integration and interpersonal relationships; Professionalism) - 50%;
II. Internship report (Content; Mobilization of scientific knowledge in the internship area; Conclusion - critical and global reflection; Presentation; Compliance with intermediate deadlines in the production of the report; Regular communication with the supervisor; Report structure) - 50%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The internship areas should be appropriate to the area of specialization that the student is pursuing and will be defined according to the internship location. During the first month of the internship, the student must prepare the Internship Plan, which will be signed by all participants. The intern should prepare a synthetic Internship Activities Report every week, which should be equally signed by all the participants. Regular meetings with the UFP advisor should be weekly.
