Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
To give students the practical experience and theoretical knowledge in order to enable them to attend an internship at Agência Lusa. This curricular unit aims to introduce students to the Agenda of the most current issues concerning Society, Culture and Science. In this context, it’s important to analyze the most striking data coming from the coverage of these topics. Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The objective is to analyze the impact of the events related to these topics in the media, relating the collected data with the representation of public space through specific cases, thus promoting the development of communication and journalistic technics. The contents are also focused on the application of specific language according to the genres of the text to be written and edited.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Continuous evaluation will gather both presentation and discussion of practical works both written and oral.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Students will be given real case scenarios to be worked out together with journalists, promoting theoretical reflections on the value of the Agenda in specialized fields and its relation to areas of knowledge.
