Syllabus:
social identity in a globalized world: politics of identity - issues of gender, race and religion seen through the lenses of embodiment UL1 1. concept of social identity 2. essentialist conception vs procedural design 3. Social identity in late modernity 4. space and belonging UL2 5. human body as a place of meeting of the '' natural '' and '' cultural '' 6. conceptualization and differentiation (the case of the categories of sex, gender and race) 7. Body and Race: identity and embodiment

Acquisition of the main principles of the field study in question (paragraphs 1-8) Promote the ability of an understanding of the complexity of the concept of culture / identity in its various dimensions (points 1, 2, 3 and 4) Develop the ability to identify the main lines of taught topics and its practical instantiation on specific social issues and their analyzes (points 5, 6 and 7)

Teaching based on lectures of expository character complemented by practical classes (discussion read materials) Practical work/written essays of current social issues analysis

The nature of UL1 points is eminently theoretical This is in line with the kind of lessons; evaluation through practical work (UL2) aims at the production of the practical application of skills mentioned in the course aims.
