Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The Programatic Contents(PC) were delineated in terms of Learning Goals (LG) of the course: PC1- LG3 PC2- LG5 and LG4 PC3- LG1 PC4- LG2 PC4- LG5 PC6- LG5 PC7- LG6 PC8 and 9- LG7,8 PC1 examines fundamental concepts associated with the distinction between articulatory, acoustic and perceptive phonetics. CP2 distinguishes phonetics and phonology, and classification of speech sounds in European Portuguese (EP). It focuses on aspects related to phonological feature system and the distinctive features. The CP3 focuses on phonetic transcription of EP. Sections 4 and 5 include segmental and suprasegmental aspects of oral verbal language. CP6 focus on the stages of phonological development and the processes of simplification in child development. CP7 introduces concepts of auditory discrimination and phonological awareness. CP8 approaches speech sounds disorders that may occur in child development, detection, diagnosis, assessment and intervention aspects.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Active, collaborative and expository methodologies: 1- Problem solving in small groups; 2- Brainstorming sessions of topics and questions to be investigated by students; 3- Orientation of research done by students; 4- Summary and synthesis of research done by students and group discussion; 5- Presentation of programmatic contents using projections, examples, clinical cases in video. Assessment: normal season - Continuous Assessment: theoretical component - 1 Test T (30%); theoretical-practical component - 2 TP Test (30% + 30%) + Participation in the classroom dynamics (10%) season - Exam (100%)
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The teaching methodologies adopted for this curricular unit are consistent with the defined goals, since they allow students' knowledge and their active participation in classes through active and collaborative learning strategies combined with traditional and expository methods. The professor will be a facilitator of the student's learning process, providing the capacity for analysis, discussion and reflection of concepts with the practice of speech therapy. Objective1-expository methodologies- assessment: written test Objective2- active methodology- assessment: written test Objective3 and 4- expository methodology- assessment: written test Objective5- active methodology- assessment: written test Objective6- active and expository methodology- assessment: written test Objective7,8,9 and 10- active and expository methodology- assessment: written test
