Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
LO1. Undertake a project to prevent and /or awareness about speech therapy , community
LO2. Have knowledge and ability to understand the role of the Speech Therapist in fields related to human communication disorders and swallowing; be completely autonomous in therapeutic activities that are part of the performance profile of the Speech Therapist; and being able to research and reflect the clinical point of view, in order to substantiate their measures of performance.
LO3. To be able to orally defend the clinical dossier;
LO4. Seminars to prepare the final graduation project
Syllabus:
CP1 - Defense of the Graduation Project
CP2 - Idealization of a draft prevention and / or awareness about the Speech therapy, in the community
CP3 - Clinical Internship
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
CP1 corresponds to LO1
CP2 corresponds to LO2
CP3 corresponds to LO3
CP4 corresponds to LO4
In CP1 the student, in a group context, should idealize, plan and implement a prevention project.
In CP2 the student should follow up individual patients and participate actively in case study discussion meetings.
In CP3 the student should be able to defend the clinical dossier.
In CP4 the student will be expected to follow seminars during the first two weeks of classes on research methodologies.

- Continuous assessment, including student performance on stage and participate in tutorials guidelines

Clinical internship and tutorial orientation:
- Ongoing evaluation, understanding the student's performance on the internship and participation in tutorial guidance

Normal Season
- Idealization of a Prevention and/or Sensitization Project on Speech Therapy, in the community + clinical monitoring - (25%+15%) - 40%
- Clinical Internship - construction of an internship file, according to evaluation through COMPEC-TF) - 45%
- Defend orally, before two ESS-FP professors, the clinical file performed in an external institution and/or in the ESS-FP pedagogical speech therapy clinic - 15%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Clinical stage Participatory methodology in which it is intended that students apply knowledge gained through critical reflection and analysis of specific real situations and in solving concrete problems and development for future clinical practice. Tutorial orientation Interrogative and participatory methodology, which intends to provide guidance and monitor the work directed to each of the students in order to foster a reflective reasoning, based on previously acquired knowledge and specific bibliographic research.
