Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The contents of this discipline are designed to allow the integration of the supervisory contents learned in the theoretical and theoretical-practical classes in a clinical / educational context. Experiencing and reflecting on the challenges and difficulties inherent to a supervisory process of undergraduate nursing students, nurses in integration and / or peers is fundamental for the acquisition of knowledge and skills in this domain.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The teaching-learning strategies that will be used in this discipline are based on the principle of the students' contact with the supervisory process in a real context (internship), complemented by the presentation of their experiences and critical reflection about them (seminars).
The assessment includes the elaboration of a supervisory project, to be delivered until the end of the second week of internship, with a weighting of 30% for the final evaluation of the discipline. Additionally, students must deliver, up to five days after the end of the internship, a portfolio containing all documents that they produced, with presentation in the context of a seminar, with a weighting of 70% for the final evaluation of the discipline. For all questions related to teaching methodologies, the Academic Norms of Universidade Fernando Pessoa is applied.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
In a context of autonomous search for knowledge by the student, his/her individual study is essential to obtain the knowledge necessary for the teaching-learning process. Thus, the fact that there is a continuous monitoring of students throughout the seminars and internship, will allow them to direct their study and to produce documents towards the acquisition of knowledge and essential skills for nursing clinical supervision. The reflection about the process, which should be present in the portfolio, will also allow students to consolidate the knowledge obtained through the critical analysis of the supervisory process developed by them and to obtain feedback about it from the professor and from the colleagues.
