Learning Period:Language of Instruction:Total Hours:
Spring SemesterPortuguese/English65
Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
• Describe the organization of the human body • Acquire fundamental concepts of anatomy and physiology to understand f the human organism; • Understand the mechanisms of regulation and maintenance of the beody; • Train the student to understand human anatomophysiology in different systems; • Understand the mechanisms involved in the functioning and interconnection of different bodies and systems; • Identify the anatomical and physiological peculiarities inherent to each phase of the life cycle; •Understand the anatomophysiological mechanisms that underlie the pathophysiological aspects; Develop skills in human anatomophysiology for the provision of nursing care. The competencies defined by the Order of Nurses (OE) are acquired throughout the nursing degree course, and its fullness is achieved at the end of all theoretical and practical components.
Syllabus:
Syllabus: 1-Cardiovascular system 2-Respiratory system 3- Digestive system. Endocrine system 4-Genito-urinary system. 5-Reproduction and development 6. Organization of the human body 7. Integration and control of the different systems. 8. Regulation and maintenance of the human body 9. Anatomo-physiology throughout the life cycle 10. Anatomophysiological mechanisms of pathophysiology 11- Principles of anatomy-physiology in relation to physio-pathology LABORATORY PRACTICES 12-Laboratory practices - parallel to Theoretical and Theoretical-practical syllabus / systems 13- Identify and describe the structure and functioning of the human organism.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The syllabus contents of this curricular unit are designed to allow the continuity of the concepts about anatomy and physiology of the human body developed in the first semester, enabling the student to understand the complex and integrated functioning of human anatomophysiology throughout the life cycle. With the acquisition of theoretical, theoretical-practical and laboratory knowledge about the anatomy and physiology of the human body, it is intended that the student is able to transfer them to the development of nursing care skills.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The curricular unit is developed in contact hours and in the student's autonomous working time. For the intended objectives, deepening the complexity of the themes of anatomophysiology I, expository, interrogative and simulation teaching methodologies are used. The theoretical classes are essentially expository and interactive, the theoretical-practical classes are designed to elucidate and deepen the themes taught with the aid of appropriate didactic material (anatomical models, videos), complemented through simulated practice. The student's working time will be guided by several programmatic headings. The continuous evaluation regime consists of two moments of written test (80%) and two evaluations of laboratory practices (20%). UFP Pedagogical Regulation applies to all items.
