Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
This Curricular Unit reflects on the importance of evidence-based practice and its applicability to the nursing profession. Students reflect on aspects of clinical practice, identifying results in the light of data from research and scientific evidence, allowing them to base the decision-making of their practices. The syllabus contents of this curricular unit are designed to allow the search and critical evaluation of the available evidence, interconnecting with the curricular unit of quantitative and qualitative methods of research in nursing and with the completion of undergraduate work.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The set of knowledge disseminated through the expository method is associated with the interrogative method to promote reflection, as well as the development of a work, implementing the different stages of a graduation project. Students will have the opportunity in the theoretical-practical classes to learn to use the different databases provided by the institution. The evaluation of the curricular unit will be carried out through the elaboration of a group work (3 elements) in the form of a Research Project, with a weighting of 70%, and the respective presentation in the classroom, with a weighting of 30%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The proposed methodologies are in coherence with the objectives formulated for the curricular unit since they promote the development of skills that will allow the student to apply evidence-based nursing practice, in its different stages in carrying out group work. Students will carry out research, both individually and in groups, in the databases made available at the institution, developing skills in systematic research procedures. The course aims to promote the development of scientific research skills necessary for the promotion of the profession.
