Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
This course reflects on the importance of communication at various levels, from communication as a form of human interaction, through scientific communication. Also integrating the specificities associated with communication in health and literacy, providing students with theoretical foundations and skills to increase literacy, focusing especially on communication in all its aspects. Therefore, the incorporated themes allow the student to transfer the knowledge and skills about communication to the provision of nursing care at various levels.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The curricular unit develops in contact hours and the student's autonomous working time. For the intended purposes we use different teaching methodologies, namely expository, interrogative, demonstrative, role play and group work. Theoretical classes are essentially expository and interactional, the practical classes are designed to elucidate and deepen the themes taught with active strategies, promoting student participation. In continuous assessment, the student must complete a written test (90%) and participate effectively in the classroom with a weighting of 10% for attribution of the final grade of the curricular unit.
In the 2021/2022 school year, depending on the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic and the constraints on physical presence at the ESS, the assessment may only be that of the written test.
All items apply to UFP Pedagogical Regulations.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The proposed methodologies are consistent with the objectives formulated for the course as they encourage the active participation of the student so that he / she tries and acquires tools that optimize their expression in the field of communication at various levels. As well as the development of knowledge, attitudes and skills to ensure proper communication in health and promotion of health literacy.
