The understanding and assimilation of the syllabus in theoretical classes and its application in practical classes, allowed students to show their level of development of theoretical-practical skills at the level of: 1. Health in general, so that in the future they can take the necessary attitudes to face current situations, in their mission to promote a whole health. 2. General first aid and basic life support actions for adults and children, in a conscious and thoughtful way. 3. Execution of basic health gestures related to: diagnosis, treatment, specific situations of professional daily life. 4 Proper application of universal protection measures, 5. Of human relationships and communication techniques. These learning areas are justified because the students, as future professionals, will all be health education promoters and actors of basic health gestures.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Methods: interrogative / active, expository and demonstrative Oral presentation of syllabus through interactive methodologies. The theoretical-practical assessment of the curricular unit is made through a written test (weighting 4), and an individual written work in Word and PowerPoint (weighting 3). This work involves diagnosing the relevance of the topic to be addressed in the work, as well as training in the application of theoretical contents through its oral presentation (weighting 2). Continuous assessment of the curricular unit is carried out through active participation in classes, mainly in practical classes. The presentation and discussion of individual research papers and debate in face-to-face classes will also be evaluated, in order to assess the application of theoretical content in practice (weighting 1). The student must obtain a minimum grade of 10 points for approval.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The active/participative and demonstrative methodology allowed to ensure the interconnection of theoretical aspects with the practical aspects of the subjects covered, to provide the fulfillment of the proposed objectives for the course, with the support of audiovisual means, teaching material for the execution of practical activities and content analysis of scientific relevance. The carrying out of individual scientific research works and group activities, leading to active participation in the class, supported by the demonstrations carried out by the teacher, facilitated the assessment of the fulfillment of the proposed objectives for the Curricular Unit of Education and Basic Gestures in Health.
