Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The discipline aims to encourage students to develop original research perspectives on the themes of the Quality Management System.
In its operationalization, students should make efforts to; apply knowledge to the ability to understand and solve problems in the strategic and tactical level.
In view of the context underlying the discipline, students will be asked to deal with problems in new and unfamiliar situations, so they must demonstrate the ability to integrate knowledge, deal with complex issues, develop solutions or make judgments in situations of limited or incomplete information, including reflections. about the ethical and social implications and responsibilities that result or condition these solutions and these judgments.
In the context of exploring the case study, students should communicate their knowledge and the reasoning behind it in a clear and unambiguous way - to specialists, and not specialists.
Syllabus:
I Introduction
Concepts and approaches to quality;
Quality and non-quality costs;
II Documentation and Quality
Document Management Systems to support Quality Management;
Documents compliant with ISO 9001:2015.
III ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems
Identify the concepts and principles related to Quality Management;
Identify the advantages of implementing a QMS;
Identify the Norms belonging to the family 9000;
Identify and interpret the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
IV Metrology
Know the different types of Metrology;
Know International System of Units
Identify the concepts associated with Industrial Metrology;
And to carry out the management of an equipment subject to calibration.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
At first momenent the discipline, explores the technical, theoretical and conceptual dimensions of:
Quality as discipline;
Of document management systems and quality management systems;
Concepts associated with metrology;
Secondly (of a practical nature), students are asked to reflect and resolve a case study, where they will apply and systematize the knowledge acquired on the requirements of quality management and information management.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
1. Lectures, to present theoretical frameworks of reference.
2. Participatory classes, with discussion of programmatic topics and examples.
3. Active classes, resolving ine case study.
Individual work: 70%.
Class participation and continuous assessment: 30%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The theoretical-practical presentations in charge of the teacher promote the acquisition of knowledge and comprehension capacity. Participatory classes, done in groups or individually, promote communication and application of knowledge and understanding. The case study, promote the realization of judgment / decision-making and the communication and application of knowledge and its understanding.
