Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
O1 -Acquire basic knowledge of Neurology and learn to make some tests of neurological examination, with emphasis on the assessment of language and phonatory functions
O2 -Recognize and interpret the semiotic changes
O3 -Understand the movement, recognizing the importance of experience in the conduction to change and progression in complexity, with referral to the typical development
O4 -Acquire knowledge and develop skills in evaluation, diagnosis and intervention / rehabilitation of disturbances in the stomatognathic functions, oral motricity, speech, language and communication that have been caused by CNS lesions
O5 -Analyze and reflect on the applicability of knowledge to specific situations (examples of clinical cases)
O6 -Recognize neurological diseases and learn to face them properly in their individual field of expertise and as a member of a team, recognizing the importance of complementary roles for an integrative rehabilitation

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The syllabus (CP) were delineated by learning objectives (O) of the unit , for students be able to acquire knowledge and develop skills that enable them to understand, analyze and reflect on the applicability of the neurological theory to speech therapist professional practice, promoting the construction of a structured and appropriate reasoning in Neuromotor pathologies.

Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Theoretical lessons
Predominantly expository methodology, but with the use of images and videos illustrative of the concepts covered. Presentation, analysis and discussion of topics in class, with guidance in critical thinking and research and reading specific literature.
Theoretical and practical lessons
Expository and participatory methodology, focusing on the analysis and discussion of the contents of the program with dynamic development of practices, case studies and exploration tools. Guidance in critical thinking and analysis of specific situations (support videographic records). Experimentation specific techniques developed in small group dynamics.
Evaluation
Theoretical Component (50%) - 1 written test (30%), individual written work (20%)
Theoretical and practical component (50%) - written test TP1 (15%), written test TP2 (20%) and participation and involvement during the lessons (15%)
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The methodology used in theoretical (predominantly expository, but with the use of illustrative pictures and videos of important concepts, presentation, analysis and discussion of issues in the classes, as well as guidance in critical thinking and research and reading specific literature), lets get together of students to acquire knowledge, their understanding, encouraging discussion about the content covered, promoting the integration of concepts, ability to research, analysis and critical thinking. The theoretical and practical, characterized by expository methodologies but also the development of more dynamic participatory approach, facilitate the relationship of concepts and reinforce the applicability of knowledge within the ambit of the speech therapist, particularly in terms of identification, assessment and intervention promoting the development of skills related to the construction of an adequate and structured reasoning, linked to professional practice. Thus, it is considered that teaching methodologies adopted for this course are consistent with the goals set for it.
