Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The present course aims to provide the students with instruments and methods for ethical thought about the emergent and persistent ethical issues present in the different professional areas of Health. The instruments and methods for ethical thinking will be applied to the knowledge students are expected to acquire and develop on the various topics of the syllabus. Students are also expected to get familiarized with the deliberative method as well as with bioethical reflection based on narrative literary texts, movies, documentaries, reports and all the valid information conveyed by digital media
LG1- To develop knowledges about concepts of Ethics, Bioethics and deonthology in Speech Therapy.

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Syllabus contents focus on the reflective thinking on ethical and deontological issues in the health area, with a focus on Speech Therapy. This critical thinking will ensure that the future professional activity will be based on ethical values, thus contributing to a more humanized approach, that respects the values of Integrity and Responsibility.

Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Active, collaborative and expository methodologies:
1- Problem solving in small groups;
2- Brainstorming sessions of topics and questions to be investigated by students;
3- Orientation of research done by students;
4- Summary and synthesis of research done by students and group discussion;
5- Presentation of programmatic contents using projections, examples, clinical cases in video.
Assessment:
Normal season
- Distributed Evaluation –
1) 2 Individual papers and oral presentation (20%+20%)
2) 2 written test (25+25%)
3) Participation / attendance (10%)

- Exam (100%)
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The teaching methodologies adopted for this curricular unit are consistent with the defined goals, since they allow students' knowledge and their active participation in classes through active and collaborative learning strategies combined with traditional and expository methods. The professor will be a facilitator of the student's learning process, providing the capacity for analysis, discussion and reflection of concepts with the practice of speech therapy. Objective1- active and expository methodologies- assessment: 2 written test, 2 papers and participation in class
