Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
This seminar intends students: (1) Acquire/develop knowledge and skills related to the construction of assessment instruments; (2) Acquire/develop knowledge and skills about assessment tools validation; (3) Acquire/develop knowledge and skills about the processes of linguistic and cultural adaptation of instruments.
Syllabus:
P: 1. Assessment tools construction: The tools construction.
TP: 2. Assessment tools validation; 3. The linguistic and cultural adaptation of assessment tools for the Portuguese population.

The programmatic contents (PC) were delineated in terms of Learning Goals (LG) of the course. So,
PC1 corresponds to LG1
PC2 corresponds to LG2
PC3 corresponds to LG3
The CPI focus on knowledge and skills regarding different ways of constructing assessment instruments for data collection.
The CP2 focus on knowledge and skills regarding different ways of validating assessment instruments for data collection.
The CP3 focus on knowledge and skills regarding different ways to adapt linguistically and culturally assessment instruments for data collection.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
- Expositive and supervised practice.
- Technical resources, including multimedia.
- Observation, analysis and discussion of cases.
Assessment: continuous. Specific practices: poster for presentation of results of a protocol + construction of a tool.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Since the course consists of theoretical and practical lessons, the teaching methods used fall within the best procedures used in this area. The development of knowledge and skills of this course will be conducted through an ongoing review of learning, tutored by their joint reflection and practice in the classroom.
