1. Introduction to Scientific Research
1.1. General characterization of scientific knowledge
1.2. Types of research
1.3. Definition of the problem
1.4. Objectives and research design
1.5. Data collection, analysis and interpretation
1.6. Results presentation
2. Scientific Writing and Technical Communication
2.1. Formal issues in writing technical reports, thesis and articles.
2.2. Structuring of scientific discourse.
2.3. Good practices in writing texts.
2.4. Evaluation and assessment of peers.
2.5. Readability and usability.
2.6. Oral and multimedia presentations.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Be able to structure an article, thesis or technical report. Development of skills for analysis of texts and technical communication.
Be able to innovate in the knowledge of the field of aesthetic medicine and to orally present a technical issue/topic, in an engagement way, using as support an electronic presentation.

Oral presentation supported by slides.
Presentation of examples of good and bad practices.
