Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit: | |||
Allow the future Dental student, as an important specialization of this group of students, the revision and transmission of knowledge of the Maxillofacial surgery área with special interest to Dental Medicine. This will allow a better treatment and management of patients, as well as a better understanding of the surgical procedures. | |||

The program contains the necessary information to identify and manage traumatic situations, TMJ pathology, infections, benign and malignant pathology of the oral cavity and salivary glands and the treatment of orthognathic patients. | |||
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation): | |||
The curricular unit is exclusively theory (15h). The evaluation is done by a written test. Approval is achieved by a minimum score of 10/20 and it confers 2 ECTS. | |||

In this curricular unit, the transmission of knowledge in the maxillofacial surgery area is done trough theoric classes, allowing dental students a better understanding and treatment of their patients. | |||
