Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
To improve oral and written french communication.
To provide students with oral and written french practice, in pragmatic and day to day health related situations.
To encourage the pleasure of reading and producing texts in French.
To devellop french language application abilities according to specific situations.
Syllabus:
This subject intends to provide students with a practice of the French language in situations relating to health: consultation, diagnosis and prescription, work in a hospital, and nursing.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
To master the largest quantity of foreign languages is an added value at the globalization time we live. The teacher’s mission will be to encourage the student to express himself in French, both verbally and in writing; to feel at ease in daily situations; to be able to translate texts from French to Portuguese and vice versa; and to master reasonably french grammar.

Written Test 1 - 30% (Unit 1)
Written Test 2 - 30% (Unit 2)
Oral presentation - 30% (Specific themes)
Collaborative work - 10% (Glossary of Health Related Terms)
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The theoretical-practical presentations by the teacher foster the acquisition of updated information on the topics studied. Students’ presentations, in groups or individually, also require critical reflection and help to create the awareness that we learn throughout life.
