Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
At the end of the course the student should be able to rehabilitate the burn patient especially on a musculoskeletal, cutaneous and cardiorespiratory level, playing an important role in preventing sequelae. To do so he must have the ability to evaluate and develop a treatment program according to the objectives and care for different stages and types of burns and patients.
Syllabus:
Competence for the assessment, treatment and sensitivity in addressing the burned patient, through knowledge of the causes, objectives, differences approaching different kinds of patients and burns, as well as safety and specific means of this area.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The subjects are presented in a successive way and with a integrational character that allows the student to develop a critical and clinical reasoning spirit that translates into the correct application of the techniques learned in real context, with the knowledge of the different staff of a burn unit team.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Evaluation through two written tests and a presentation of a work or scientific articles.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The proposed methodologies enable the creation of knowledge and skills in a progressive, critical, responsible and active, based on the evidence. Communication, dialogue and discussion of issues is present at all times on classroom.
