Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
(O1) To indeep knowledge about child development;
(O2) To identify principles and developmental domains in infancy;
(O3) To relate impact and risk factors and their consequences on development;
(O4) To distinguish between typical and atypical development;
(O5) To identify developmental risk facotrs and intervention strategies
(O6) To learn screening instruments application and interpretation;
(O7) To recognize behaviors and stages of mother-baby attachment
Syllabus:
(CP1) Development and growing: developmental concepts and principles, development domains and attachment.
(CP2) Developmental stages in childhood (infancy and pre-school)
(CP3) Normal versus atypical development (alarm signals).
(CP4) Child development assessment and stimulation, developmental screening (SGS-II)
(CP5) Improving development of children at risk.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Acquisition and integration of knowledge enabling the framework of Psychomotor Development; Acquisition and development of skills of analysis, synthesis and integration of methods, techniques, concepts and methodologies of psychomotor development assessment
