Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The aim of this course is to clarify the Esthetic within physiotherapy.
At the end of the course the student should know and apply the Esthetic physiotherapy basics, using his knowledge in order to evaluate and develop a treatment program according to the objectives and speficity of different diseases / conditions as well as to have developed skills enabling it to learn throughout life, with a high degree of autonomy.
Syllabus:
Anatomy and physiology of the cutaneous, lymphatic and connective tissue systems.
Bionenergetic basis
Cosmetology
Assessment, definition of goals, specific techniques and treatment plans for:
- Obesity,
- Body contouring,
- Panniculopathy,
- Stretch marks,
- Scars,
- Skin disorders,
- Aging,
Plastic surgery.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The subjects are presented in a successive way and with a integrational character that allows the student to develop a critical and clinical reasoning spirit that translates into the correct application of the techniques learned in real context.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Evaluation through two written tests and a presentation of a work or scientific articles.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The proposed methodologies enable the creation of knowledge and skills in a progressive, critical, responsible and active, based on the evidence. Communication, dialogue and discussion of issues is present at all times on classroom.
