Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
• Collaborate in the elaboration / organization of emergency plans, firefighting, evacuation and first aid;
• Ensure a quick response to the emergency situation in the workplace;
• Perform simple emergency procedures to avoid aggravating injuries resulting from accidents and sudden illness;
• Apply first aid measures in emergency situations at work;
• Trigger the distress request appropriately;

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The syllabus contents of this curricular unit reflect an approach situated within the scope of emergency in the workplace. They are based on the development of different themes in an integrated manner, with an emphasis on acting in the face of emergency situations in the workplace and on emergency plans and self-protection measures.
It is noted that the syllabus contents are in accordance with the objectives of the curricular unit, allowing the Labor Nurse to develop differentiated and integrated knowledge, appropriate and specific to the reality of emergency and evacuation situations in the workplace, respecting the values and ethical, legal and deontological principles in guaranteeing a social commitment to the health, safety and well-being of the worker, taking into account the working conditions, the quality and safety of the workplace
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Use of expository, demonstrative and participatory methodology, valuing the student's involvement in the teaching / learning process. Students will design and present an emergency situation at the workplace. The continuous evaluation will consist of elaboration, presentation and discussion of the Group's work, with a weighting of 100%.
The attendance is mandatory to the UCs of theoretical teaching, theoretical and practical in at least 50% of the workload and 80% of the Laboratory Practice, to have access to continuous assessment, according to the UFP Regulation.
Exam: students who do not obtain approval in continuous assessment, can take the exam consisting of 1 written test, with a weighting of 100%.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Teaching methodologies are guided in coherence and articulation with the defined learning objectives. Taken as a whole, they are essentially an interactive strategy centered on the student, with a focus on work that encourages reflection and values processes of a cognitive and interpersonal nature, properly oriented and framed in the theoretical, theoretical / practical and laboratory practices of the curricular unit. With the implementation of the methodologies considered, it is assumed that the student is actively involved in its evolution and outlines efforts in the search for updated information, which supports the work to be carried out and fosters the intended learning results.
