It is intended that the contents developed throughout the course unit enable students with theoretical-practical knowledge and general and specific skills on the principles of work nursing, promoting the health of workers. The student should be able to identify hazards and risks in the workplace, use professional risk assessment methodologies and techniques and carry out risk control and management. it must also apply measures to prevent, promote and protect workers' health | |||
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation): | |||
The Course Unit will be developed based on bibliographical research, analysis, discussion and joint critical reflection on the topics addressed, elaboration and discussion of group-oriented work. The students will make groups of no more than three elements, to elaborate a case study of a company / institution, phased by different Curricular Units that constitute the study plan, based on the areas of work nursing intervention. The continuous evaluation will result from the accomplishment, presentation and discussion of a group work, with weighting of 100%. | |||
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes: | |||
To demonstrate the coherence of teaching methodologies with learning objectives, it was decided to focus on interactive methodologies, allowing students to use theoretical knowledge in a real work context, focusing on the reflection and analysis of real cases in a work context, making possible the integration of knowledge in the process promotion, prevention and restoration of workers' health. | |||
