Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The main learning objectives to be achieved are:
i) develop knowledge and skills of understanding about the psychological development during adulthood and senescence;
ii) apply the knowledge and understanding acquired the capacity, so evidencing a professional approach to work in the field of Psychology of Adult Development and Senescent;
iii) build capacity for the collection, selection and interpretation of relevant information within the Psychology of Adult Development and senescent, which enable students to substantiate the solutions that stipulate and judgments that issue, including the analysis of social scientific aspects and relevant ethical;
iv) demonstrate skills in oral and written communication.

Unit 1. Developmental Psychology: epistemological framework
1.1. Object of study, goals and main concepts and methods in Developmental Psychology

1.3. Perspectives and theoretical models of adult and senescent development
Unit 2. Development of Adult and senescent: evaluation and promotion

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The unit 1 is introductory and aims, above all, tracing the scenario in which the contents of unit 2 will have to be framed; in Unit 2 are addressed major areas of human development in the age groups considered (adulthood and senescence), seeking to bring the student to develop not only knowledge but also to be able to exercise its application in the field of Psychology of Adult Development and senescent.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The teaching methodology will include theoretical exposition, research, reading and discussion of specific bibliography as well as thematic debates and critical reflections. The assessment, which will be continuous, consists of carrying out two individual written assessments with a weighting of 30% each ; a written group work (maximum 3 elements) to be presented and discussed in the classroom. This work will have a weight of 10% (written) and 20% (oral presentation) in the final grade; 10% other works.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The descriptive and organizational exposure of the syllabus aims to develop knowledge about the psychology of Adult and senescent Development, which are certified in writing and assessment applied in the context of observation, the analysis of the main areas of development in real situations, which are then presented to the large group in the form of folding.
