Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
LO1. capacity for analyse, organisation and planning, basic general knowledge in Cognitive Psychology;
LO2. promoting the acquisition and integration of knowledge, theories and explanation models of the following basic psychological processes: learning, perception and memory;
LO3. promoting applied knowledge related to the structure and functioning of cognitive processes during the information processing;
LO4. Introduce the student to the main recently research in Cognitive Psychology.

I. Historical Aspects of Cognitive Psychology
Knowing the history of Cognitive Psychology. Acquisition and integration of knowledge allowing the historical framing of Cognitive Psychology; Acquisition and development of skills of analysis, synthesis and integration of methods, techniques, concepts, models, theories and knowledge of the main specialities, domains and intervention contexts of Cognitive Psychology.

Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Teaching methodology will include lecture and tutorial lecturing, research, reading and discussion of specific references in the cognitive psychology, as well as thematic debating and critical reflection.
A System of continuous assessment:
- 1 written tests, with a weighting of 80%;
- 1 pratical work, and respective presentation and discussion in class, focusing on a thematic inherent to the programmatic contents: weighting of 20%.
