Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
Course which aims to further the praxeological study of "psychological consultation", e.g., the objective and subjective factors that determine the meeting objectified. In this sense, the student is encouraged to (i) reflect on some of the essential aspects of the practice of psychological therapy and (ii) acquire conceptual and practical tools needed for psychological consultation.
The main skills to be acquired are as follows:
i) develop and enhance knowledge about the core competencies of psychological consultation;
ii) undertake assessment tasks associated with a 1st consultation or a change interview, making visible the acquired psychological consultation skills;
iii) demonstrate skills in oral and written communication;
iv) demonstrate skills for critical analysis and self-criticism;
v) demonstrate the systematic adoption of ethical and moral values.

Lective Unit 1 Scope of Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Lective Unit 1 - The contents are mainly descriptive nature of the psychological consultation process seeking to thus promote the identification of consultation skills considered in terms of outcome and process, as being more effective.
Lective Unit 2 - the syllabus deal with the articulation of a coherent whole competencies identified and described in the consultation letiva unit 1, with a view to acquiring, developing and deepening these same skills in relationship status, particularly in the context of justice.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The lective unit 1 begins as target descriptive and organizational exposure to that in a second phase, this knowledge can be applied to justice psychology context, which will be achieved by conducting study visits that enable the observation of the effective theory the singular practice, whose reports are presented orally by the students participated in classes (40% of theoretical and practical work integration).
The lective unit 2 is the target, initially, a framed display orderly and practical skills involved in the process of psychological consultation, in time and space, and a discussion of relationships that can be established (10% participation in practical). In a second phase, the students will perform in CPP|UFP, a psychological consultation (40% screening or change interview) and prepare the report on the consultation (10%).
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
In lective unit 1 descriptive and organizational exposure allows students to systematize expertise within its area of operation, so that a second phase study visits enabling realize how these competencies are operationalized in practice are performed. In unit 2 training exercises are conducted practical skills, giving opportunity to apply the skills involved in the process of psychological counseling, observing and transmitting the necessary feedback to the metacognitive makeover. This moment will be accompanied by the concurrent exercises of group development dynamics of personal and relational features, we can cultivate an attentive, available and understandable stance in attendance.
