Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
- Select and integrate methods, techniques, concepts, models, theories in the field of communication psychosociology and assessment in communication psychosociology;
- Determine relevant characteristics of individuals and groups and their interactions in the fields of communication psychosociology;
- Improve oral and written communication skills.
- Work in international environments with respect and empathy for the differences between cultures, language and social and economic factors;
- To transmit information, ideas, problems and solutions to specialists and non-specialists.
Syllabus:
Topic I - The role of communication in authentic organizations.
Topic II - Organizational Communication
- Diagnosis of communication, implementation of change and evaluation.
- Communication and planned organizational change: Unbinding and Outplacement.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Topic I - The syllabus privileges the deepening of specific theoretical subjects in the area of communication psycho-sociology, thus allowing to reach the objectives of the curricular unit.
Topic II - The program content emphasizes the deepening of the practical application of concepts, models and theories in the field of communication psychosociology in the organizational context: Realization of communication diagnosis, implementation of change and evaluation of results; Communication and planned organizational change: Unbinding and Outplacement.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Teaching methodology will include theoretical exposition, research, reading and discussion of specific bibliography as well as thematic debates and critical reflections. The evaluation will be continuous, based on the realization of a written exercise (50%) and on the execution of a theoretical-practical assignment (50%), presented in the form of a written report and discussed in class.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
1st and 2nd unit - Theoretical exposition of contents for each area of expert assessment; Presentation and handling of materials used in psychology of communication; Individual and group debate of cases illustrating different problems that may constitute thematics of psychology of communication with the aim of demonstrating knowledge and skills in performing tasks in psychology/communication interface, and social psychology; to master the main techniques and methodologies used in social psychology of communication; Presentation of films and texts with the purpose of showing different subjects of social psychology of communication.
