Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
This subject intends to present the necessary theoretical and practical tools to allow students control the process of scientific research and develop it through an autonomous way:
- Competencies of reflection about ethical and social implications on new solutions and values.
- Competencies that allow the resolution of problems in new situations and wide and multidisciplinary contexts
- Capacity to communicate conclusions as well as new implied knowledge and reasoning
- Competencies allowing the life learning process, through a self oriented and autonomous way

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
To understand and relate the different steps of the research execution process. The process of information and the research report. To communicate conclusions as well as the respective knowledge and reasoning.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Teaching methodology is continuous and includes theoretical lecturing, research, reading and discussion of specific references, concepts and practical work, critical reflection. Assessment shall include a final assignment (100%), which will be subsquently discussed in class.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
To understand and relate the different steps of the research execution process. How to select the information management methods. Practical work on bibliographic sources analysis and oral and writing skills. Data analysis, the use of references’ rules, the research report.
