Ability of understanding of the fundamental concepts governing communication, interpersonal and social processes.
Syllabus:
The concepts of information and of communication. Paradigms of communication. The structure of the media system. The impact of digital platforms on the organization of society. Trends of evolution in media studies.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The mastery of knowledge in the area of ??communication requires the theoretical understanding of phenomena associated with the mass model, as well as the understanding of the evolutionary tendencies of the media system in the digital age, which is obtained by the critical thinking about the great currents of thought in this area.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Presentation of theoretical works based on critical reflection on reference authors. Continuous evaluation.
