Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The course "Estágio II (Journalism)" aims to provide the student with knowledge and basic technical skills for entry into the journalistic labor market.
Syllabus:
Application of journalistic techniques of collection, processing and dissemination of information for the press, radio, television and internet.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The whole teaching of eminently practical and laboratorial orientation simulates the environment of a professional journalistic newsroom and is oriented to the training of students in the field of journalistic techniques of collecting, processing and dissemination of information.
The internship can also be performed externally on the media industry, option that allows the student to have a close contact with the reality of the journalistic labor market.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Practical and laboratorial teaching, simulating the environment of a professional newsroom, OR professional internship in the media industry. Continuous evaluation.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
Being a course fully oriented for the integration of students into the labor market, the learning and teaching strategy involves the simulation of a professional newsroom, where students should perform similar functions to those of a professional journalist in the field of collection, processing and dissemination of information. It's also allowed to the student the opportunity to complete his intenship in the media industry, which connects the student with the labor market.
