Methodology unit of Scientific Work aims to bring students to:
a) Clearly identify the steps of the scientific research process;
b) Know / distinguish some types of scientific research;
c)Develop skills in critical writing on the reading of a scientific article;
d) Know some of the main treatment techniques and data collection;
e) Developing skills in the context of structuring a presentation of a topic;
f) To understand the importance of prior knowledge for planning and development a scientific research.

OBJECTIVE: To identify / differentiate some types of scientific research.

OBJECTIVES: Clearly identify the steps of the scientific research process;
Develop skills in critical writing on the reading of a scientific article;
Know some of the main treatment techniques and data collection.

III. Structure, writing, formal aspects and defense of a scientific paper (1 ECTS)
OBJECTIVES: To develop skills in the context of structuring a presentation of a topic; Realize the importance of this point for the planning and development of scientific research.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Active method, in which it will combine with the more practical aspects and application to the master students studies.
Developing a dissertation proposal.
Evaluation: Dissertation proposal (100%)
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The exposition component will achieve the objectives a), b) and d), which combined with the practical application (performing reading sheets, writing a short critical text and prepare and submit a presentation on a given subject) also help achieve the objectives c) and e).
