At the end of this course students should be able to:

Identify the security, ethical and legal implications of information use.
Master the concept of ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems.
Know and understand the components of the ISO 9000 Information Management Systems.
Identify the clauses of ISO 9000 that involve the use and management of information.
Identify the components of Information Systems that are directly related to ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems.
Discuss the challenges and potential of WEB 2.0 and the Internet of Things in terms of information management and quality.

Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Knowledge and ability to understand, is focused on the problematization of the complexity and volatility of the organizational environment in today's societies and the need of their understanding to conceive of development strategies and the affirmation of organizations.
Application of knowledge and understanding, will materialize by the analysis and adequacy of the set of ISO norms, applied to the operation of an institution or organization.
Judgment / decision-making is revealed in the ability to understand and apply IS tools to case studies.
Communication will be carried out in the pedagogical moments of students' participation in the classroom and individual work tutorials.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
1. Lectures, to present theoretical frameworks of reference.
2. Participatory classes, with discussion of programmatic topics and examples.
3. Active classes, with practical case studies and case studies.
4. Autonomous work: carrying out an individual practical work.

Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The theoretical-practical presentations by the teacher promote the acquisition of knowledge and comprehension capacity. Student presentations, done in groups or individually, promote communication and application of knowledge and understanding. The practical cases, promote the realization of judgment / decision making and the communication and application of knowledge and their understanding.
