| Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives: | |||
| The subject seeks to explain the evolution and the performance of the Portuguese economy in the EMU. For that, it observes the economic context of the European integration process and analyses the macroeconomic choices and performance prior and subsequent to the formation of the euro-zone. Finally, the challenges that the Portuguese economy currently faces in the context of European integration are analysed. | |||

| Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes: | |||
| The subject combines a theoretical approach with the analysis of macroeconomic indicators (1. and 2.) so as to interpret macroeconomic choices, dynamics and performances. Guided reading is also used so as to discuss current topics related to the Portuguese macroeconomic performance and challenges within the EMU and the global context (3.). | |||
