Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The main objective of this course is to deepen theoretical and practical knowledge, concerning to the needs of an athlete. The student must know how to apply the techniques correctly and effectively when faced with a clinical case, be able to evaluate and plan a treatment having the knowledge of the injuries and also the changes in several sports modalities.
Syllabus:
1- Invasive Physiotherapy
2- Vestibular Rehabilitation
3- Urinary Incontinence in sports
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The introduction of theoretical and practical concepts of the techniques / strategies of assessment and therapeutic methods enables the student to mature the ability to understand the scientific basis of them. In this sense, it seeks to provide the students with specific knowledge and terminology of anatomy, biomechanics and physiology, relevant to the assessment and treatment of athletes.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
The final score is calculated taking into account a final test about different subjects.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The different themes and presentation of case studies in the classroom will be transmitted in an expository and / or discussion format in order to allow the acquisition by the student of theoretical and practical knowledge of the specific principles, terminology, anatomy, biomechanics and physiology used in the context of Sports.
