Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The goals of the curricular unit are the knowledge of Cardiology, Oncology, Pediatrics and Infecciology applied to Physiotherapy.
Syllabus:
Cardiology
Oncology: Nomenclature (benign and malignant tumors); Characteristics of benign and malignant neoplasms; Basic concepts of TNM staging and classification; Epidemiological study of cancer.Bases of oncologic surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. New therapeutic strategies: target therapies and immunotherapy.
Pediatrics
Infecciology: (i) basic concepts; (ii) prevalence, symptoms, transmission and prevention of the most important bacterial, fungal, parasitic and viral infections for the practice of the physiotherapist profession

The syllabus allows students to obtain the necessary knowledge to use in the performance of their professional activity.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Continuous evaluation. Students will be evaluated in each module of the discipline individually and the final grade will be the arithmetic average of the individual evaluation of the modules of Oncology, Pediatrics, Cardiology and Infectious Diseases. If the arithmetic average is equal to or higher than 10, students are considered approved to UC. In the event that the arithmetic average is less than 10 values, the student is sent for examination to the entire UC
