Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
The discipline apply radiology wants to prepare the students for a better knowlegment about the pathologies/diagnosis by image methods and related them with clinical practice. Learning and do some diagnostics with the images of the different methods of radiology.
Integrate knowledge and apply them in clinical practice and self directed and autonomous research.
Syllabus:
. Conventional radiology and methods
a. Radioscopy
b. Mammography
c. Densitometry
2. Ultra sound
3. Computerised axial tomography (TAC)
4. Magnetic resonance imaging (RM)
a. Osteoarticular system
b. Spinal cord
c. Tórax abdominal and pelvis
d. Head
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
The integration of concepts of applied radiology allows a better integration of theoretical and clinical practice, and enabling the student to cope with increasingly demanding and complex issues, both clinically and professionally, making him increasingly autonomous from a technical and scientific stand point.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Includes expository and / or discussion format classes with the presentation of case studies.
The evaluation will be continuous through the written tests.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The expository and / or discussion format classes with the presentation of case studies allows to provide the students with specific and essential to the physiotherapists in lecture of image, contributing to their increased clinical and scientific autonomy.
