Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
This course aims the development, planning and design in an oriented and critical fashion by the students of a pre-research project regarding their final thesis project. It also seeks to develop the expository and argumentative capacities trough a pre-final dissertation project.
Syllabus:
Critical review of the literature
Formulation of research problems
Definition of research goals
Definition of strategies and research methods to be used
Defense of the pre-research project
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Aiming at the development, planning and design in an oriented and critical fashion by students of a pre- project it has established as contents a critical review of the literature in order to establish the research problems, general and specific objectives to achieve, tasks and procedures to be implemented or to be acquired for subsequent use during the data collection and preparation of the final dissertation.
Teaching Methodologies (Including Evaluation):
Tutorial and theoretical-practical classes with the definition of tasks and procedures to be implement with the critical analysis and discussion of scientific papers.
The assessment includes the presentation and defense of a pre-final dissertation project.
Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The tutorial and theoretical-practical classes with the definition of tasks and procedures to be implemented with the critical analysis and discussion of scientific papers are aimed to promote an autonomous scientific and critical reasoning of the students, necessary for the construction and defense of the pre-final dissertation project.
