Learning Outcomes of the Curricular Unit:
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills and attitudes in the process of designing nursing care for the elderly;
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills and attitudes in the planning of therapeutic interventions;
- Integrate the knowledge of other curricular units for the design of nursing care for the elderly.
- Know how to identify, plan, implement and intervene that favor the adaptation and recovery of the elderly person with chronic illness in the various contexts of life.
- Know how to intervene in advance in situations of threat to the physical and mental integrity of the elderly person.
Syllabus:
The clinical teaching will provide the student with the mobilization of acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, related to the contents of the different curricular units, as well as the acquisition of new learning, anchored in theoretical-practical knowledge that results from the contact with situations in real context.
Demonstration of the Syllabus Coherence with the Curricular Unit's Objectives:
Being the main objective of this curricular unit, the development of competencies to provide nursing care to the elderly, we consider that the program contents will allow the development of the competencies planned for the general care nurse in its real context

Demonstration of the Coherence between the Teaching Methodologies and the Learning Outcomes:
The clinical teaching (CE) is the set of two distinct moments: internships, carried out in different health institutions and seminars, activities related to the internships and held at the University. Allowing the development of skills that allow the student to provide nursing care to the elderly in a real context, as well as reflect on their decision making through the different actors of the supervision of clinical teaching.
